Halloween in Germany is Boring
His is my third Halloween in Germany. It’s a realativley new holiday for the Germans, so maybe they haven’t gotten the hang of it yet. I haven’t seen one tree covered in toilet paper, or even any egged houses! In the past three years I had only three people knock on my door for candy.
I am working mids this month, so I didn’t buy any candy. I was sitting in my house with all the shades pulled down and the lights off in an attempt to thwart any trick or treaters form ringing my bell. (It would be embarrassing answering without any candy wouldn’t it?) Of course this year the bell rang off the hook. Well, not off the hook, they rang the bell twice. My dogs went whacko barking as I hid upstairs watching tv.
Next year I think I’ll head up to the Frankenstein Castle
