How do I get USAREUR temporary plates? |

Initially issued for up to a 30 day period so that your POV may be driven to the inspection point for mechanical safety inspection. Upon passing inspection, the plates are then exchanged for the EURO style plates.
The type of plate (long or short) for your POV will depend on the size of the
area where plates are to be mounted. You must return to original place of issue
to finalize this transaction as only they have your supporting documents and
money.
Thereafter, you may go to any other FRS to do a transaction. Temporary plates
cannot be extended. When your POV cannot pass inspection after this 30 day
period, it MUST be registered as non-operational.
Check with your local community for guidance, as some Army communities require
local Base Support Battalion (BSB), Area Support Group (ASG) approval; and Air
Force communities may require Base Support Group (BSG) approval. |
